Social Media Strategy for Cannibal's Love

For my social media strategy, I will be harnessing niche apps/websites in order to post an promote my creative piece. As I thought this alone could be considered as restrictive, I am using one of the ‘social media giants’ to allow access to those who are not particularly in that niche. And, finally, I am going to utilise hashtags as my main technique to promote my creative piece. This rationale will explain why I see these as advantageous
Asianfanfics.com is a niche fanfiction archive that is well known by those who are interested in Korean pop culture. As my creative piece is the first chapter for a K-pop boy band story, I will be posting this on here. Doing this allows for my story to gain easy views from new subscribers as many on asianfanfics.com follow tags (the site’s version of hashtags). This largely includes the main character of my creative piece ‘Kyungsoo’. As I already have a following from previous stories, those who subscribe to me as an author will overtly be notified about my new story. Users can essentially like and comment on your work, giving the chance for it to be featured. Therefore, there are many promotional features that are user-friendly. In terms of threats such as plagiarism, you can disallow selecting of your story when in their own text editor. Overall this social media site is beneficial in posting and promoting my creative piece.

I will also be using Aminoapps as it is a niche mobile app for fans. Users can join particular fandom channels – for example, I will be using the ‘EXO’ channel to promote my story, as this the boy band that the characters in which my story is based on. Out of all the social media, I will be using, this is the most informal as you can create a friendly atmosphere on your page with quizzes etc. I will also be posting the artwork of my creative piece on there with specific hashtags (I have done this before, and it has deemed well for reactions). However, this is a very specific social media app. Therefore, I will also be using one of the ‘social media giants’: Twitter. Twitter is very good for fanfiction writers as it gives exposure of your work to those who are not particularly familiar with such niche apps. It is important to keep the word count so I will be posting visual media to make my tweets stand out from the feed. Similarly to the other two social media apps/sites, I am applying hashtags. These also help with exposure as fans who base themselves on Twitter can follow them. There are many social media strategies I can use to post and promote my creative piece. So I have decided to add Twitter in this way as it has a diverse audience
